The Blue Label is a well-known international allergy label.
The Blue Label was founded in the 80s by the non-profit organisation, Asthma-Allergy Denmark. Asthma-Allergy Denmark is a patient association for people with asthma and allergies and all our income goes into the work of the association untouched. The allergy brand is now international but is still based on the Danish values of health and credibility.
We strive to stay up-to-date on the latest scientific developments on skin allergy and we have a large network of skin and allergy clinics with in-depth knowledge of patients and clinical outcomes.
Allergy-labelled products can now be found in more than 50 countries and the market is on the rise. This is probably due to an increase in the number of people who are diagnosed with skin allergy in both the Nordic countries and the rest of the world. A recent European study shows, that up to 27% of adult Europeans aged between 18 and 74 years suffer from skin allergy. The increase in the number of people affected is also reflected in a growing interest in The Blue Label in both Nordic and international markets.
It is not only people with allergy who wants to choose products that carry The Blue Label. Many consumers want to be extra careful and therefore choose allergy labelled products for the sake of themselves and their loved ones.
Skin allergy develops from substances with which the skin comes into contact. Therefore, the ingredients of products to be used on the skin are an important issue to the consumer.
